We first tried the Don Lee Farms Organic Superfood Burgers a few months ago and picked up another box a few days ago as there’s currently a rebate for it.
These organic veggie patties are made from carrots, kale, onion, wheat flour, quinoa, chopped onions, soybean oil, sea salt, spices and garlic.
As you can see, there are no artificial ingredients in it. They are vegan and there are no GMOs used.
One serving size is one patty and there are 2/3 cups of veggies in each serving.
They are fully cooked but you do need to heat them up either in the microwave, grill, skillet or conventional oven.
We generally microwave them for about 30 seconds on each side and then put them on a hot skillet to brown and crisp.
We like these veggie patties. They taste great, the almonds add a nice crunch and since they’re stored in the freezer, it’s something we can reach for when in a hurry.
As a side note, there was another Don Lee veggie burger (also in the freezer aisle) that we purchased before this one and it didn’t taste as good. There was brown rice in that version and the brown rice always felt like it wasn’t fully cooked.
The Don Lee Farms Organic Superfood Burgers are normally priced at $12.79.
There’s currently a $3 instant rebate which reduces the price to $9.79.
Discount is valid till 08/11/19.
