Francis Coppola 2011 Sofia Rose

According to the Francis Coppola winery, the 2011 Sofia Rose is “Feminine and stylish, with a fragrant perfume of fresh strawberries and lavendar, this rosé explodes with ripe, juicy flavors of cherry, raspberry and citrus zest.”

Ahh…they always know how to describe it so beautifully don’t they?

The wine is a blend of 80% Syrah and 20% Grenache with 12.5% alcohol.

Wine Spectator gave it 89 points – “A festive rosé, with a bright pink hue, bold spicy and floral aromas and lively raspberry and cherry flavors. Syrah and Grenache.”

It is priced at $16.99 at wine.com but only at $11.79 at Costco.

We haven’t tried it yet but I think the color is just so lovely, isn’t it? Has you tried this wine? What did you think?
