Kirkland Signature Brut Rose Champagne is imported from France.
The “Brut” means dry, so low in sugar. Interestingly, this is also a Rosé. These incorporate some of the color of the grape skins (but not enough to create a red wine). Rosé Champagne is very rare, there’s just not a lot of it made.
The grapes are 65% Pinot Noir, 25% Pinot Meunier, and 10% Chardonnay and come from the vineyards of Manuel Janisson and Roland de Bruyne, with 13% of them classified as Premier Cru and Grand Cru.
Bouquet: Cassis and Wild Strawberries
Finish: Red Grapefruit
This will be a great option for the holidays and Valentine’s Day. We’re curious to try it out ourselves. Adding it to the long list of sparkling wines to try this holiday season!
