Wild Copper River Sockeye Salmon

It’s salmon season and we bought a beautiful 4 lb Wild Copper River Sockeye Salmon from Costco last week. 

If you love salmon, Costco often has fresh wild salmon during summer. Our favorite is Sockeye, but you can find other varieties at Costco as well e.g. Coho, Steelhead, etc. Availability can change week to week.

We asked the Costco employee at the kiosk to give us a smaller one and this 4 lb salmon was one of the smallest ones he had! Most were larger, maybe 5-6 lbs.

It’s much easier to cut the salmon into steaks than to try and filet it so that was what we did. We grilled it on the cedar planks we just purchased from Costco online. Served it with quinoa salad and it was a great, healthy meal 🙂

The salmon is wild caught and a Product of USA.
