Costco Switching to Visa starting June 20th, 2016

You’ve probably heard of this big news – Costco is switching to Visa on June 20th, 2016. The signs have been posted all over the store, and online at Costco.com.

You can use your American Express card at Costco through Sunday, June 19th, 2016.

Starting Monday, June 20th, 2016 Costco warehouses will only accept ALL Visa cards, cash, checks, debit/ATM cards, EBT and Costco Cash Cards.

That’s right, American Express cards will no longer be accepted starting Monday.

It’s important to note that Costco.com will not accept American Express as well starting 06/20/16.

Costco.com will accept ALL Visa cards, MasterCard, Discover, debit/ATM cards and Costco Cash Cards.
