Cuisinart Convection Toaster Oven
Several years ago, our oven broke down and while waiting for the repair parts, we went to Costco and bought a Cuisinart Convection Toaster Oven.
We thought we’d only use it until our oven was fixed. Instead, we now use it more than we use the regular oven. It’s perfect for cooking nightly meals in a small household.
The best part is it takes less than 5 minutes to preheat to 400F. We really appreciate this in the summer time! No more heating up the entire kitchen just to cook a meal.
Because it’s a convection oven, we’ve found that food does brown nicely and evenly. You can fit a whole chicken, 9″ pie pan, about 8 pieces of chicken thighs, 2 loaf pans, etc. in the oven. Food does seem to cook faster in it so when baking, I found that it’s best to start checking about 5-10 minutes before the expected finish time.
Ours is an older model and the controls sit at the bottom of the door. This new one has the controls on the side so they’re not obstructed when you open the door.
Features of this unit include:
- Convection cooking – circulating hot air speeds up the cooking process
- “Always Even” browning control – for perfect toast
- Non-stick interior – easy cleaning
- 0.6 cu ft capacity – fits 12 inch pizza, whole chicken, or six (6) slices of bread
- BPA Free
- model CTO-140PC
- Limited 3 Year Warranty
