I think this is the first time I’ve actually looked closely at a bottle of the Grand Marnier and it’s beautiful. It has a red ribbon tied around it like a present, and a wax seal stamped directly onto it.

Thus, its official French name is really Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge, whereby Cordon Rouge is Red Ribbon.

Created in 1880 by Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle,  Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge is made from a blend of Cognac and bitter orange essence. The same secret recipe has been passed down from generation to generation.

You can use the Grand Marnier in desserts, mixed drinks, cocktails or even enjoy it as is.
