Hugo Boss Men’s Regatta Watch
The Hugo Boss Men’s Regatta Watch is rare type in the watch world, and one we have not seen previously at Costco. This is a Yatching, or Regatta timer.
These are designed specifically for boat racing. Boats are unable to line up at a starting gate as in other forms of racing (cars, horses, etc.) So the boats are given ten minutes from one audible signal to sail around and get into position to cross the starting gate at the next signal. Crossing too early results in a penalty and points deduction.
The Yatching timers have a chronograph function that counts down from ten minutes, with an audible alarm at every minute, and alarms every second in the last ten. This helps the boat skipper be aware of the time without a visible check, as he /she positions the boat to cross the gate at the last possible second.
