Khazana Organic Toor Dal

We were going to try a recipe that called for Chana Dal and thought we had seen it in Costco but it turned out to be the Khazana Organic Toor Dal.

With some research, it seems that Toor Dal is not exactly the same as Chana Dal. Toor Dal is marketed as split pigeon peas on the packaging and is smaller than Chana Dal which is a bit larger and more like chickpeas.

One benefit of Toor Dal is it does not require any soaking and is high in protein and fiber. It’s commonly used in Indian cooking so will be great in soups, curry, etc.
