La Roche-Posay Mela-D Pigment Control Serum
As mentioned previously, there’re various new skin care products at Costco lately. One of the ones spotted recently was this La Roche-Posay Mela-D Pigment Control Serum.
There are other products by Shiseido, Sisley, SK-II, etc. so check your store if you’re interested.
This La Roche-Posay serum uses a highly concentrated 2% Kojic Acid with micro-exfoliating LHA (Lip-Hydroxy-Acid) with Glycolic Acid, another well-known exfoliant, to help correct the appearance of dark spots.
Hydroquinone is historically the ingredient used to reduce the appearance of dark spots but it’s become somewhat controversial in recent years. There have been claims that hydroquinone may cause certain skin issues and also be carcinogenic when injected or fed to rats in large doses.
Due to this, more and more companies have looked into using other ingredients to help treat dark spots. This La Roche-Posay serum claims to visibly reduce the appearance of dark spots after 2 weeks and skin complexion is more uniform and radiant after 8 weeks.
The serum is Hydroquinon-free, fragrance-free and paraben-free.
Made in France.
La Roche-Posay Mela-D Pigment Control Serum is priced at $32.99 for 1.0 oz (30 mL).
