Nespresso Essenza Espresso Maker is a simple single cup brewing system, designed to make that perfect cup of espresso.

The idea is simple – fill up the water tank, drop in a Nespresso capsule and press the start button. When done, pull the lever back and the used capsule is ejected to the bottom container, which holds about 12 used capsules.

But their manual shows that it may not be as fast as it sounds. Fill up the water tank, press the ON switch, then wait for it to preheat (60 seconds?). When it’s ready, preheat the espresso cup by running 1 cup of water through. Then only do you drop the Nespresso capsule in and brew your espresso.

After brewing, they also recommend running another cup of water through to clean the system.
