One thing to note is to avoid extreme temperatures. This is true for all glass containers, not only Pyrex.
A long time ago, I had turned off the stove but I forgot it was still hot. I placed a Pyrex on top and in the split second that I realized what I had done, the Pyrex exploded into hundreds of little pieces.
Luckily, I was not hurt.
That incident did not stop me from using and loving Pyrex. I am just more careful of where I place them though.
