The Hakushu Single Malt Japanese Whisky is another award-winning whiskey from Suntory.  This is from their forest distillery at the foot of the Southern Japanese Alps.  The climate and water there turn out to be ideal for whiskey-making.

The tasting notes indicate that this whiskey has:

Color – champagne gold
Smell – basil/ pine needle/ green apple
Taste – sweet pear/ mint/ kiwi
Finish – green tea/ subtle smoke

We have tried this whisky, and it is another excellent, smooth whisky.
