Kirkland Signature Smoked Salmon
Costco carries two types of smoked salmon in the store. One is imported salmon from Norway. It comes in a 2-pack, 12 oz each and costs $19.99. So it’s about $13.33/lb.
The second type is a Wild Smoked Sockeye Salmon from Alaska so this is a product of USA. There is no artificial color or preservatives used.
They also come in a 2-pack, 8 oz each, and costs $15.59. So it’s $15.59/lb, making it slightly more expensive than the imported version.
We’ve purchased both of these smoked salmon before and they’re both great. I think the Norway version is softer while the Alaskan version is a tad firmer.
It’s slightly more expensive but we always purchase the Alaskan version now since it’s:
– Wild caught salmon
– No Preservatives
– No Artificial Colors
– Product of USA
We use it to make sandwiches or salad for lunch. While $15.59/lb may sound expensive, you can make many lunches with it.
Look at the color! Gorgeous!
