Rians Creme Brulee
UPDATE 01/15/14: Spotted the Rians Crème Brûlée now priced at $8.97. Picked up a pack to try. Followed the instructions of broiling for 2 minutes under low setting and with the oven door ajar. Très bon!
Rians Crème Brûlée is imported from France and the crème brûlée is packaged in these little cute glass jars.
Crème Brûlée (literally “burnt cream”) is a soft custard base with a contrasting top layer of crunchy caramel. The top layer is often created with a handheld kitchen torch.
This dessert can be eaten Cold, or Hot, and instructions are on the package for both methods.
For cold, just sprinkle the included caramel crumble over theCrème Brûlée and eat away.
For hot, place the Crème Brûlée on top rack under the broiler at low setting and with the oven door ajar. Let caramelize for 2 minutes. Remove and let caramel topping cool until solid or crunchy before enjoying it.
