Suntory Yamazaki Single Malt Japanese Whisky is from a well-established and award-winning distillery.  This whisky has also won a gold medal as recently as 2014 (SWSC 2014).

This is the oldest distillery in Japan, and its whiskey has been faring well against Scotch.

The tasting notes indicate pure gold color, odor including peach/pineapple/grapefruit, taste of coconut/cranberry/butter, and finish of sweet ginger/cinnamon.

We have tried this whisky, it’s definitely smooth and mild, without the strong smoky flavor of some Scotches.
