Japanese Wagyu
Father’s Day is 9 days away and if dad loves steak, perhaps the ultimate gift might be these highly prized Japanese Wagyu. Check out the marbling action on this piece of meat!
The picture above is of a Grade A-5, Japanese Wagyu New York Strip Loin Roast, which was available at Costco.com this morning but appears to be sold out now.
But there are still currently 4 other options available:
- Japanese Wagyu Boneless Ribeye Roast, A-5 Grade, 11 lbs,
- Japanese Wagyu Tenderloin Roast, A-5 Grade 9 lbs
- Japanese Wagyu Center Cut New York Strip Steaks, A-4 Grade, 48 oz
- Japanese Wagyu Filet Mignons, A-5 Grade, 32 oz
These are 100% Fullblood Wagyu from Japan and Grade A-5 is the Highest Japanese Grade available.
We’ve never tried Japanese Wagyu and would love to but they’re just very pricey.
Alexander’s Steakhouse, a local restaurant here in the SF Bay Area, have Japanese Wagyu Grade A-5 listed on their menu. It costs $130 to $185 for just a 3-oz portion!
These steaks from Costco are priced more reasonably when compared to that.
If you’re interested, do check them out at Costco.com: Japanese Wagyu
I don’t know how long it takes to ship these out, so if you’re purchasing them for Father’s Day, it’s best to call Costco first to confirm the shipping and delivery schedule.
