PUBLISHED 06/27/15: Pyrex is celebrating its 100th birthday and there’s a special limited edition Pyrex 5-Piece Glass Bakeware Set available at Costco.

The limited edition set includes the following 5 pieces:

– Engraved pie plate

– 2 qt square baking dish (dimensions: 8.1″ x 8.1″ x 2.2″)

– Lid for 2 qt baking dish

– 3 qt rectangle baking dish (dimensions: 13″ x 9″ x 2″

– Lid for 3 qt baking dish

Pyrex is freezer, oven and microwave safe. Just avoid extreme temperature changes. That is, don’t place a Pyrex on a hot stove.

I did this once and the dish exploded. It was all my fault, of course, and I realized it the second I put it down but it was too late. It’s one of those mistakes you only make once, and never again!

I still love Pyrex because they don’t retain odors or stains, and they’re Made in USA.

We have the same 5 pieces at home that we bought years ago, and they probably cost much more than what Costco is charging.
