The Honest Company Honest SPF 30 Sunscreen

Another new product from The Honest Company has been spotted. It’s a physical (chem-free) sunscreen called the Honest SPF 30 Sunscreen.

I think this may be the first time Costco has carried a true physical sunscreen with zinc oxide in the store. It contains 9.3% zinc oxide as the only active ingredient.

The other sunscreens generally available in the store by Neutrogena or Coppertone were all chemical sunscreens which work by absorbing light. Physical sunscreens like those with zinc oxide work by reflecting the sun’s rays.

First, wearing any sunscreen is better than none. But if you have a choice, then a physical sunscreen is better than a chemical one.
