Quaker Oats Old-Fashioned Oatmeal
UPDATE 06/11/14: Price for the Quaker Oats Old-Fashioned Oatmeal has increased to $8.39.
PUBLISHED 08/24/13: The Quaker Old-Fashioned Oatmeal may be the cheapest and healthiest food you can have for breakfast.
I’ve actually been eating oatmeal every morning for years now, normally with a banana and flax seed. I also add blueberries when they’re in season. Occasionally, I may add a few raisins for some sweetness.
I cook the oatmeal in the microwave. 1/2 cup oatmeal with 1/2 cup Vanilla Soy Milk, 1/2 cup water and a pinch of salt. Microwave for 2 minutes in a deep bowl. Give it a few stirs then microwave for another 30 seconds.
The oatmeal keeps me full for several hours. When I don’t have oatmeal for breakfast, I find myself getting hungry very quickly.
