Spotted the Lee Kum Kee XO Sauce at Costco recently.

You may have seen XO sauce listed on the menu for dimsum or Chinese dishes.

I must admit that I’ve never looked into what it actually is.

The packaging clarifies what it is – a condiment made from ingredients such as dried scallops, dried shrimp, chili peppers and spices.
