Bacardi Rum
Bacardi Rum is used to make cocktails like Mojito and Cuba Libre or Rum and Coke.
The bottles of white Bacardi Rum are labeled “Puerto Rican Rum,” as their contents are produced by the world’s largest distillery, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The Bacardí family though, is not from Puerto Rico. The founder, Don Facundo Bacardí, was born in Spain, emigrated to Cuba and opened the family firm’s first rum distillery in Cuba in 1862.
They’ve an interesting and rich history which you can read all about in Wikipedia. 😉
The Bacardi Rum is currently priced at $16.99 for a 1.75 L bottle.
