We planted tomatoes, carrots, lettuce and strawberries last year. The strawberries were a bust but the tomatoes, lettuce and carrots fared really well.

I think lettuce is one of the easiest and most rewarding vegetable to grow. It doesn’t need a deep container or much sun and water. We planted in our east-facing kitchen window and it grew really well.
